Salah satu aplikasi yang diperlukan ketika menginstall sistem operasi (Microsoft Windows, Linux) adalah Driver. Aplikasi/software ini berfungsi mengatur dan menghubungkan berbagai aplikasi sistem dengan hardware, sehingga kerja hardware yang tersedia menjadi optimal. Jika driver suatu hardware tidak diinstall, kemungkinan besar kinerja komputer menjadi sangat lambat.
