Download Peta dari Google Maps Menggunakan Browser Firefox

Postingan pertama di bulan Agustus 2009 ini, saya ingin menunjukkan kepada Anda cara melakukan download peta dari Google Maps dengan menggunakan browser Firefox.

Peta yang diperoleh bisa sangat luas area cakupannya. Seluruh peta Kota Bandung di Google Maps bisa di download hanya dengan sekali proses! Langkah demi langkah proses download saya buat dalam sebuah ebook mini tutorial berformat PDF dengan 8 halaman yang bisa Anda dapatkan secara gratis.

Kata “download” mungkin bukan kata yang tepat untuk proses ini. Kata “capture” atau merekam tampilan layar browser Firefox mungkin lebih tepat, karena proses sebenarnya memang melakukan capture maps from Google Maps. Untuk itulah judul ebooknya Merekam Peta dari Google Maps dan bukan Download Peta dari Google Maps. Mengapa harus menggunakan browser Firefox? Karena tersedia sebuah add on untuk Firefox yang memiliki kemampuan untuk merekam seluruh halaman di layar browser. Dengan add on ini Andabisa merekam seluruh tampilan website kesayangan Anda dari header hingga footer sekaligus. Add on ini diberi nama Screengrab yang bisa diperoleh di link ini.

Inti dari proses kerja download peta dari Google Maps ini adalah saat melakukan kustomisasi ukuran peta yang ingin di tempelkan dalam halaman web. Caranya, di Google Maps klik pada tautan Link di kanan atas tampilan peta, kemudian klik pada “Customize and preview embedded map” . Di jendela yang terbuka itulah Anda bisa melakukan kustomisasi ukuran peta yang ingin ditampilkan, untuk kemudian mengambil (copy) script yang terdapat di bagian paling bawah jendela tersebut. Script tersebut kemudian disimpan sebagai file html, agarbisa dibuka dengan browser Firefox .

Kemudian dengan menggunakan Screengrab, simpan peta yang ditampilkan tersebut sebagai file PNG atau JPG. Selengkapnya silahkan download ebooknya melalui link yang tersedia di akhir postingan ini.
Sekali lagi saya tuliskan, bahwa saya berhasil merekam seluruh Kota Bandung hanya dengan sekali proses menggunakan trik ini. File yang dihasilkan pun sangat tajam jika disimpan dengan format PNG. Postingan berikutnya adalah bagaimana cara me-georeference-kan image yang diperoleh tersebut, sehingga memiliki sistem koordinat danbisa ditampilkan di software GIS atau bahkan sebagai background maps di GPS… So tunggu postingan berikutnya ya…

Download Maps From Google Maps With Google Map Buddy




Satu lagi aplikasi yang bisa digunakan untuk melakukan download peta/image dari Google Maps, setelah sebelumnya saya memposting hal serupa dengan memanfaatkan Firefox + Add-On ScreenGrab dan yang kedua menggunakan aplikasi Google Map Saver (GMS). Aplikasi yang dimaksud dalam postingan kali ini adalah Google Map Buddy (GMB).


Aplikasi portable ini menampilkan peta dari Google Maps seperti halnya yang tersaji di browser. Seluruh opsi navigasi tersedia, sehingga user bisa melakukan searching untuk mendapatkan directions dari pencarian tersebut. Cara kerja Google Map Buddy saat melakukan download atau lebih tepatnya capture peta dari Google Maps adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Browse area yang ingin Anda download atau search dari menu yang tersedia.
2. Zoom in atau zoom out area yang ingin di capture untuk menyesuaikan kebutuhan peta. Anda tidak perlu takut detail peta tidak terlihat pada zoom level pilihan Anda tersebut.
3. Dari menu yang terdapat di Toolbar, click pada button Select Area, buat sebuah kotak untuk membatasi area yang ingin di download petanya, lalu tentukan tingkat zoom level pada toolbar untuk menentukan kedetailan peta hasil download. Pastikan nilai x dan y tidak berisi tulisan “unknown”. Jika berisi tulisan “unknown” ganti tingkat zoom level Anda.
4. Untuk mendownload click pada button Create Map Image. Anda akan diminta untuk menentukan tempat menyimpan image peta dalam format PNG. Google Map Buddy ini akan meng-capture bagian demi bagian untuk kemudian menggabungnya menjadi satu kesatuan peta dengan resolusi cukup tinggi. Setelah proses selesai, Anda akan ditanya, apakah ingin menyimpan hasil capture bagian demi bagian tersebut atau menghapusnya.

Resolusi peta yang dihasilkan cukup baik menurut saya, tergantung tingkat zoom level yang user pilih. Download Google Map Buddy melalui link dalam kotak hijau di bawah ini.

Analisis citra Landsat secara digital dapat dikelompokkan atas (Lillesand dan Kiefer, 1990):
1. Pemulihan citra (image restoration)
Merupakan kegiatan yang bertujuan memperbaiki citra ke dalam bentuk yang lebih mirip dengan pandangan aslinya. Perbaikan ini meliputi koreksi radiometrik dan geometrik yang ada pada citra asli.
2. Penajaman citra (image enhancement)
Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebelum data citra digunakan dalam analisis visual, dimana teknik penajaman dapat diterapkan untuk menguatkan tampak kontras diantara penampakan dalam adegan. Pada berbagai terapan langkah ini banyak meningkatkan jumlah informasi yang dapat diinterpretasi secara visual dari data citra.
3. Klasifikasi citra (image classification)
Terdapat dua pendekatan dasar dalam melakukan klasifikasi citra yaitu unsupervised classificatiom (klasifikasi tak terbimbing) dan supervised classification (klasifikasi terbimbing). Klasifikasi tak terbimbing dilakukan sebelum melakukan cek lapangan, sedangkan klasifikasi terbimbing dilakukan setelah melakukan cek lapangan dengan panduan klasifikasi titik-titik koordinat yang telah diambil dari lapangan. Berikut ini dijelaskan mengenai proses klasifikasi tak terbimbing dan klasifikasi terbimbing.

Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam klasifikasi tak terbimbing mengggunakan software Erdas Imagine 8.5 (Wijaya, 2004):
1. Menentukan jumlah kelas warna citra yang akan diklasifikasi (number of classes)
2. Mengatur kombinasi band yang digunakan dalam pengklasifikasian, dala penelitian
ini digunakan kombinasi band 5 4 3
3. Mengidentifikasi tiap-tiap kelas warna yang dihasilkan oleh proses klasifikasi
sesuai dengan tipe-tipe penutupan lahan yang telah ditetapkan
4. Menggabungkan kelas warna (recode) yang memiliki tipe penutupan lahan yang sama
5. Pemberian nama dan warna tipe-tipe penutupan lahan (attributing) hasil proses
recode

Tahapan kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam klasifikasi terbimbing menggunakan software Erdas Imagine 8.5 (Wijaya, 2004):
1. Pengenalan pola-pola spektral yang ditampilkan oleh citra dengan berpedoman titik kontrol yang diambil pada lokasi penelitian menggunakan GPS
2. Pemilihan daerah (training area) yang diidentifikasi sebagai satu tipe penutupan lahan berdasarkan pola-pola spektral yang ditampilkan oleh citra
3. Proses klasifikasi citra yang dilakukan secara otomatis oleh komputer berdasarkan pola-pola spektral yang telah ditetapkan pada saat proses pemilihan daerah
4. Menggabungkan daerah-daerah yang memiliki tipe penutupan lahan yang sama (recode)
5. Pengkoreksian citra hasil klasifikasi dengan membandingkannya dengan citra sebelum diklasifikasi

Resolusi dari sebuah citra adalah karakteristik yang menunjukkan level kedetailan yang dimiliki oleh sebuah citra. Resolusi didefinisikan sebagai area dari permukaan bumi yang diwakili oleh sebuah piksel sebagai elemen terkecil dari sebuah citra. Pada citra satelit pemantau cuaca yang mempunyai resolusi 1 km, masing-masing piksel mewakili rata-rata nilai brightness dari sebuah area berukuran 1x1 km. Bentuk yang lebih kecil dari 1 km susah dikenali melalui image dengan resolusi 1 km. Landsat 7 menghasilkan citra dengan resolusi 30 meter, sehingga jauh lebih banyak detail yang bisa dilihat dibandingkan pada citra satelit dengan resolusi 1 km. Resolusi adalah hal penting yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam rangka pemilihan citra yang akan digunakan terutama dalam hal aplikasi, waktu, biaya, ketersediaan citra dan fasilitas komputasi.

Ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas citra untuk aplikasi kehutanan tropis, yaitu:
1. Tutupan awan. Terutama untuk sensor pasif, awan bisa menutupi bentuk-bentuk yang berada di bawah atau di dekatnya, sehingga interpretasi tidak dimungkinkan.
Masalah ini sangat sering dijumpai di daerah tropis dan mungkin diatasi dengan mengkombinasikan citra dari sensor pasif (misalnya Landsat) dengan citra dari sensor aktif (misalnya Radarsat) untuk keduanya saling melengkapi.
2. Bayangan topografis. Metode pengkoreksian yang ada untuk menghilangkan pengaruh topografi pada radiometri belum terlalu maju perkembangannya.
3. Pengaruh atmosferik. Pengaruh atmosferik, terutama ozon, uap air dan aerosol sangat mengganggu pada band nampak dan infrared. Penelitian akademis untuk mengatasi hal ini masih aktif dilakukan.
4. Derajat kedetailan dari peta tutupan lahan yang ingin dihasilkan. Semakin detail peta yang ingin dihasilkan, semakin rendah akurasi dari klasifikasi. Hal ini salah satunya bisa diperbaiki dengan adanya resolusi spektral dan spasial dari citra komersial yang tersedia.

Sebelum sebuah citra dianalisis, biasanya diperlukan beberapa langkah pemrosesan awal. Koreksi radiometrik adalah salah satu dari langkah awal ini, dimana efek kesalahan sensor dan faktor lingkungan dihilangkan. Biasanya koreksi ini mengubah nilai digital number yang terkena efek atmosferik. Koreksi geometrik juga sangat penting dalam langkah awal pemrosesan. Metode ini mengkoreksi kesalahan yang disebabkan oleh geometri dari kelengkungan permukaan bumi dan pergerakan satelit.
